Wavefront Centre

Making Waves, Breaking Barriers.

Previously known as the Western Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Wavefront Centre provides resources, education, and a gathering place for the Hard-of-Hearing, Deaf, and DeafBlind communities in the Lower Mainland. As the Wavefront team set out to build a new state-of-the-art Vancouver facility, they came to Harc for a brand refresh that would reflect the promise of their new home and expanded capabilities.

Honoured to be their creative partner in this exciting new chapter, we rebuilt their brand from the ground up. We worked with the leadership team and community stakeholders on a bilingual new name (English and American Sign Language), produced their website and accessible microsites, and partnered with MGBA to create a fully branded interior for their new purpose-built Mount Pleasant facility. In the years following our partnership, Wavefront Centre has steadily increased its business volumes.

From our first meeting, we could feel the incredible energy and passion from Harc that resonated with our team and partners. Working with them meant there's an action plan, a concrete timeline, and guaranteed sustainable delivery. We never felt out of touch at any point in our project.
